In this study, the green alga Haematococcus pluvials were respectively and simultaneously exposed to active oxygen reagentsMB, H_2O_2 solution, and mixed solution of H_2O_2 and Fe~(2+ to study the physiological variety and characteristic of astaxanthin accumulation by determining cell density, chlorophyll-a content, biomass and the astaxanthin content.
